Classification: HR Generalist
Compensation: $26.60 to $30.80 hourly

This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new full-time orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Major responsibilities
- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
- Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
- Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
- Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
- Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
- Develop a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
- Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews Job Requirements - Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
- Excellent written and verbal business skills
- Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
- The person we select will have to be highly detail oriented; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Prior HR Generalist experience
- Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- Experience with full cycle recruiting
